FS: Vacheron Constantin "Les Historiques" Chronograph Black dial (rare) Complete B&P
FS: Vacheron Constantin "Les Historiques" Chronograph - Black dial (rare) 100% complete B&P
I mean - just look at it! Vacheron introduced this piece as a modern version of the all time classic reference 4178. Tear drop lugs, classic 37mm case, manual wind, killer movement with killer finishing - it's all there. This reference 47101 gold usually has a silver dial. Significantly more rare - and significantly more beautiful - is the black dial version. It can look flat black from some angles, and has a subtle but perfect engine turned dial that is jaw dropping. Of course, the LUGS! The amazing tear-drop lugs. Flip it over and the display back shows the incredible movement, the manual winding Calibre 1140, the same movement as the Patek 5070. This exact reference was sold by A Collected Man a few months back. No certificate of origin, no manuals, no inner or outer box. Nada. Their asking price was $19k USD and it sold fast. 100% complete box and papers -- VERY tough on the 47101 black dial. See pictures for the complete set it comes with. Original VC black strap is very worn (no life left in it), but it comes with a second 100% brand new unworn VC strap. Hallmarks in between the lugs and on the backside remain crisp, and the condition is plain spectacular. Winding smoothly, keeping great time. Priced at a $16,500 - Wire only and price includes free shipping worldwide FedEx insured from here in San Francisco, CA. Lots of references. Thanks for looking!
