I’ve generally heard from folks in the know that Omega is notoriously slow about delivering these “special” watches. I guess patience is the key word here!

Wishlist only is my understanding. Even that isn’t guaranteed.

Maybe some ADs are making speculative orders with deposits being taken. But very tenuous as Omega hasn’t promised deliveries or #s to ADs.

OBs are definitely not taking any more orders/deposits. Let us know if you are hearing different. Some folks here could benefit.

Yeah I think you're right. Out in these parts they never took any deposits anyways but have been running a wishlist for several months.

I got in touch with my contact a week or two ago assuming i had missed the boat. He advised that he had added me to the list and that the old 'first come first served' system had been replaced with preferred customers first so that should stand me in better stead.

Who knows, but I'm now heavily invested (emotionally) on getting one.

Lol... somebody had any doubt?

It's the Rolex format with a dust of fairness, in terms that if you placed an official deposit you will get a watch.

The order of allocation is completely at discretion of the OB or AD, of course they can put on top VIP, clients with history, clients that are bundling a gold bracelet of the wife, people that are getting a 007 for the son in law...

We know the game.

Well, the alternative is don’t look after repeat customers and potentially lose business. You decide what you think is right.

I’ve got to say, it looks great in that. I’m so on the fence about this watch, but in the light the bright blue really appeals. Can’t wait to see in the flesh.

Watch looks amazing in the video, but the various lighting conditions made it appear to be two very different shades of blue on the dial. The 9:00 subdial and the bezel appear to be a much lighter blue that the 6:00 and 3:00 subdial (which appear to be darker).

Is this correct? Can anyone who has seen it in the flesh confirm?

I noticed the exact same thing. In the original video the guy from omega talks about the running seconds sub dial is made differently then the other too.

It might just be lighting from the pics and video that makes it appear different.

That's a perfect shot to illustrate what I was seeing. Still a beautiful watch but that might be a problem for me if the colors are off in that way.

Am I the only one that likes the snoopy sub dial with a slightly different shade of blue?

I like it!
It gives more personality and make the Snoopy pops more.

The 3 and 6 subdials are not silver I believe. The 9pm subdial is a flat silver dial which is laser blasted to add the blue I think. The fact it’s different materials may cause a different reaction in some light/angle but it’s the same process they used for the Apollo 11 which works ok (albeit being dark on light grey you were unlikely to see much colour diff). The ceramic bezel goes a different shade to the subdials at certain angles too.

All of the other real life photos the colour seems to be spot on.

Sadly this interaction looks too “kids watch” to me and for that money probably a hard pass. Just went to much cartoon on this one. Too each his own. I am sure the folks buying them are stoked.

Thanks for the link

The way the 9 subdial looks like a different shade of blue from the 3 and 6 dials would drive my OCD crazy! I guess it's the texture and how it grabs the light differently from the other subdials, but man it REALLY looks different

Alexander from watch advisor, commented on the different colour sub dial in the comments in the newest YouTube video.

He said it all depends all the light reflection and sometimes there is and sometimes it looks the same.

I thought the same about how luminous the hulk looked under bright but then appreciated for just that..it's different. That's what holds long term interest

Lack of symmetry is something I have trouble with in watch design. So if I were designing this watch I would have put the exact same color, texture, etc in that 9 subdial as the other two. Additionally I would have preferred the same seconds hand. Love the snoopy logo, the stars are fine, I can even stand the "50th Anniversary."

It's a fun watch and there is a lot to like about it. Just because it's not perfect for me doesn't mean it's not perfect for a lot of other folks

Interesting. Omega site has changed from 'Register your interest' to 'Subscribe to our waiting list'
Does this confirm the Rolex distribution model is now in play?

I believe that was always the case from the day after it was announced.
