Thanks Lion!

Well i've been enjoying my bike so so much! I'm happy, my gf is extermely happy, and my parents are happy as well since i'm exercising again.

I want to thank Lion for a great advice on getting a bike computer i got one for 14 canadian dollars and it makes me treat riding my bike like a video game and it's making it a lot of fun! and because of biking i want to improve my leg strength and endurance too so i'm going to the gym and eating less. usually being happy makes me eat less and exercise more

i'm averaging 10 kms(6.6 miles) for now. My parents gave me the wisest word "it's much better than zero"

any suggestion for a good seat? my tushy is sore because of the factory seat which is the reason i can only ride 10 kms.

My suggestion is to buy padded bicycle shorts. They are what I use when I'm out on the bike. Also padded gloves will ease the hands and wear a helmet to protect your head. Sounds like you are off to a good start if you want you can increase your mileage by 10% per week. You can continue to supplement your riding with cross training in the gym

Yeah, actually the seat needs to go, i have cycling shorts and some seat covers so i can easily wash it when needed without contaminating the actual seat.

I love cycling, but have never had a good bike. I went to the cycle shop today while I was killing time, talked to a few people, took a few test rides, and ended up putting a deposit down on a Rocky Mountain Solo CXD. I've never ridden a bike that felt so good, can definatly feel the difference between it and the cheap bike I've been riding for the last 6 years. Wish I could have paid it off in full today so I could have gone riding this afternoon, should have it the first week of May. I cant wait!
