President bracelet

Sorry if it’s been discussed before...
Is it easy to convert a president bracelet from 1977 with Fliplock clasp to the concealed Crownclasp?

Or does one have to purchase a completely separate bracelet that has that style?

Thanks!

A president bracelet never came with a flip lock on the clasp. That only came on the submariner

I have read in forums and on Bob’s that some older 18038 did have a choice between a flip lock clasp and the hidden style.

Maybe I’m using the wrong term by saying fliplock. I basically mean a standard clasp vs the hidden.

Idk if it’s possible, but I’d definitely try to look for a trade first. Lots of folks prefer the older clasp because it allows much finer size adjustments.

Everything is possible. Will cost you the same as a hidden clasp bracelet.

Very much agree. My hidden-clasp President bracelet is a PITA. You can't adjust it at all with changes in the seasons/weight/temperature. It is beautiful, but never fits quite right. Makes you realize how much your wrist size changes over time.
