Hi all, new to this forum
Hi everyone,
I've been looking at this forum for the past several years and have certainly gained a lot of information and a much deeper appreciation for my trusty 1675 GMT-Master that I have had attached to my wrist for the last 40 or so years. I have now inherited my dad's ca. 1967 5513 Submariner. It was his daily wearer for about 30 years, and was put in a drawer when it was a no longer keeping accurate time. I now am faced with the fortunate quandary of trying to figure out what to do with it, and expect to be posting some questions in the future regarding insurance, servicing, and the degree to which I should update its parts to make it functional and wearable. I look forward to participating in this forum. |

Welcome to the forum, Tom.
Nice pair of watches. do NOT ever send them to a Rolex Service Center (aka RSC.) For service, contact either Phillip Ridley in Mesa, Arizona -- or his father Bob Ridley in Dallas, Texas. They are both 'REAL' CW21 watchmakers and both specialize in the old, valuable Rolex such as you have. They are both WELL RESPECTED people and highly recommended often at this forum. Either one will be happy to have a phone discussion with you concerning any watch service needs. Again, STAY AWAY from RSC with those valuable old watches. Phillip has done work for me and is 100% my Rolex go-to guy. I will not have anyone but a real CW21 Watchmaker touch any of my watches. Ridley Watchmakers (Phillip) 817.821.2118 https://ridleywatchmakers.com (Phillip Ridley in Mesa, AZ) or his father - Watchmakers International (Bob Ridley in Texas) 817-276-1400-- https://watchmakers.com/ (Bob in Texas)
