Datejust: Has the Datejust in stainless

steel been updated (as has the two-tone Rolesor) with the newer face, case and bracelet design yet? I've seen and tried on the Rolesor and liked the new design, but at the time I was looking (4 months ago roughly) it was only the Rolesor that had been updated. If it's still true that it hasn't been updated yet, has anyone heard any rumors that may indicate when the stainless steel (only) version might be available (I am in the US, if it's a gradual rollout)? Thanks in advance.

The SS DJs are out everywhere now. I tried on 5 or 6 variations today at my AD.

I would guess that the US would have them all by now as well seeing as we have had them here in Canada for months(116200) and the WG bezel version has been out for almost a year now (116234)

Let us know what you find out. It's always helpful to have that kind of information spread about.

Yes, there are plenty of TT DJ new versions around. The new model number will have the extra '1' at the start of its number. This will tell you it's new.

Classical example is the TT DJ - old model number 16233; new number 116233.

Cheers - JJ

Hi all,

I just post a message, "Looking for New DateJust Owner".... and I think it match this site.

I just brought a DJ 2 weeks ago, is a SS 116234, with white face and roman wording.

I notice the different on this new version is :

1) Solid bracelet.

2) Embossment of Rolex Logo, Wording and Serial Number inside the watch right.

3) President Bracelet Lock, mean with a Crown logo.

4) The case shapre is change slightly as according to Rolex Website.

Hope someone can share more on this.

Remus

The original reason for my question above was that Rolex has introduced a new version of their Datejust and the first ones they issued are the two tone models. The specific changes they made, as I understand them, are that they:

1. Increased comfort (the wearing experience) by curving the lugs so that the bracelet and case fit the wrist better.
2. The dials have been redesigned for increased readability with high contrast dials and slightly larger markers (stick, roman, arabic).
3. The bracelet has been changed from the flip lock type to a hidden clasp and made a little thicker.
4. Case has been remodeled.

You can read about it on Rolex's website, under "Collections", click "New Datejust Rolesor" and it will summarize the changes for you there. A few months ago I went and tried on the new two tone models and was impressed, but the dealer told me the stainless steel version was going to come out later. I was primarily asking to find out if the SS version was in stores yet. Members here responded that yes, they are out in stores now. Hope that clarifies what we are talking about. Best Regards, Haakon59
