I think it will be like your photo if it’s blue.
My appolgies, when I first looked at your Date/Day disc colors I thought they looked more of the Champagne / Tan color instead of the white/offwhite color.

But you're correct, it will be more like mine. That slightly off-white.

Oh you mean the Day/Date disc!!
Yea it’s vintage off-white.

If you see my dial options yours is contemplating very strong.

Can you tell me which is the dial color code of your watch?

Is it 26 or 85?
This is referenced like 13/18238/26

I don't have that information on hand, but it is 100% sunburst so I'd say 26.

Your watch and dial are absolutely stunning.
I ve come across your wrist pics in the past in this forum and i keep seeing them again and again.!

Can you post some wrist shots from far apart , because all wrist shots are mainly close taken.

I am interested to see this combo on casual attire…

Many thanks !

If you want people to notice your watch, go with the sunburst blue. It’s gorgeous.

Otherwise go with white. It’s classy and classic.

I think onyx would look stunning with a black leather strap, as an an evening watch. I wear a lot of bright colors as casual clothes, and blue for dress clothes. I don’t think I’d be wearing a black dial watch in those circumstances.

My thoughts exactly.

I wonder if anyone here has an onyx to give us feedback.

Black or Onyx are my favorite dials on the 18238. It looks timeless and makes the dd more subdued. It has so much presence anyways. I had a DD2 with the white roman dial, hardly ever wore it because it was just too much bling - despite my love for the day date. My 18238 black dial on the other hand I almost rock every day. Would share a picture but apparently file size is too big.

Yellow gold Day-date has to be a black dial in my opinion. One of the most F*** you watches out there.

I remember seeing a cream colored linen dial on a DD some time back. It was drop dead gorgeous.

I've had all of lapis, malachite and onyx, as well as the more mundane white, champagne, etc.

One issue I have with the stone dials is this: I'm a rather prompt person, and I had a a bit of difficulty telling time within two or three minutes. It really bothered me.

For dress wear, the onyx is absolutely stunning. For everyday use, it is problematic. The blue is beautiful and more functional.

Agree on the dress wear. Unfortunately i mostly wear blue instead of black.
Thus the frustration.

The Day date watch is meant to be flashy and get noticed. If you put the black onyx dial it will stand out even more than what you have. In my opinion the white dials are the most understated on a watch that will always get noticed.
