Shinola backpack

Has anyone bought a leather bag from shinola? I was in the SF store a week or so ago and was really impressed by their leather backpack. I imagine i will pick it up in the next few weeks, the quality was really impressive. Any other options i should be looking at?

I have their laptop bag but I paid under half list price from a seller on Ebay who got it as a gift and didn't need. At anywhere near full retail I would suspect there are better options. Its well made and looks good but it does have one feature that I've had to adapt to. The main access is through a big heavy duty zipper that will eat a watch alive so I've have to learn to reach in with the right hand only. Not sure if the backpack is the same but looks like it might be.

You have already cost me at least $1,000 in tumi products! What’s another $550? Hahaha.

Funny, the zipper is the one thing that prevented me from buying it immediately. I did not like the fact that i would forget, reach in with my left hand and eat a watch up.

I guess thanks Paul? . I went to look at the two leather tumi backpacks i liked, they were both nice but not my thing. Ended up with this guy, the straps are much better than the shinola bag.

I’ve tried to like their products, but it’s just a ‘locale’ marketing machine with sub-par products. I would never purchase a anything from them.

I have the same exact Shinola backpack. The quality is solid. The only drawback is that it doesn't carry as much stuff as some other backpacks, but if you just need it for a little bit of stuff here or there, then I would recommend it.

I looked at them, not bad design but wasn’t sure on long term quality, Ended up going with Frank Clegg. Smaller outfit, all handmade in USA. Have a backpack and a duffle for weekending. Great quality, could be a lifetime purchase.
