Red Sub
Hello everyone, this is my father's old Red Sub.
So, the story behind it: My dad received it as a gift in the 90s, and then after that he wanted to make it as a family watch, so he'll gift me or my brother with it. But the problem is, i'm new to watches, and therefore i dont know nothing about watches, just that Rolex is a great and beautiful watch. I would like to ask to you guys if you know anything about this specific model, or if something seems not original. Or if you guys can help me with who can i take it to get some repairs, or if it is a bad idea. All i know it is a 1680 Red Sub, i think it is The MK4 judging by photos. It was in my dad's drawer for a long time in that rolex case, possibly 5+ years, and when i picked it up, it was still glowing in the dark and The hands were already moving, so i think it is a genuine rolex. Hopefully he'll gift me and not my brother :) Thanks everyone! |

Boa noite e bem vindo ao Forum
Looks like you did some homework and you know that is a Red Sub MK4, so you should know also that without good photos nobody here can help you. If you having trouble posting your photos go to the FAQ above and look for “Attachment and Images” Good luck |

Glowing after 5 years in a drawer??? This watch should not have anything that glows on it unless it’s service replacement junk…….if original mark 4 dial glows it’s been relumed……….doesn’t sound good
