Bracelet vs. Band

I'm thinking about making my first adventure into Panerai's and i was looking into one with the steel bracelet. Is it just me or does it seem like most of the people on the forum prefer a band as apposed to a bracelet?? Im wondering why??

You get it once you put them on. The bands sooooo belong on PAMS. They are made for one another.

The bracelets are nice, but heavy. If you have the money, get both!

You'll become addicted to purchasing and changing the leather straps from the various leather artisans that make them. Can't go wrong with leather!

Somehow the strap seems to look better on Pams. It just seems very right for it.

You guys kill me with all the strap nonsense. Yes I like the straps and own several but the old style bracelet is awesome as well. I agree that certain PAMs look better with a strap but my favorite "daily beater watch" is the 236. (251 with a bracelet) I also like my 279 but not as much. I all boils down to ones preference but just try to buy an old style bracelet without a watch. Good luck and requires micro adapters.

236 vs 251 unfortunately the strap is not as visible in the picture.

IMHO the chrono PAMs definitely take the cake "looks wise" with the bracelet. BrainBizz...How about some fresh pics of that killer collection you have.

The Panerai bracelet is awesome. Fit and finish are outstanding. They are beasts for sure and real eye catchers.

The straps are fun but if you have the dough, a bracelet would be a very nice addition to the collection.

Maybe a lot of folk would rather forgo the bracelet and just add another panny to their collections as the bracelets run around $2k

Hell, go watch the movie After the Sunset with Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek (yummy)...you'll want a bracelet eventually...I can't always sport my leather here in the tropical climate of guam...hot, wet, humid...sometimes a bracelet would be better.
