Hey guys...how SAFE is your country?
Well, my friends, as the question clearly states....how SAFE (or UNSAFE) do you feel when you leave home with one of your expensive watches strapped onto your wrist?
Here in NZ, it's really very safe. You could be wearing a diamond encrusted watch on each wrist and walk just about anywhere without any fear of being mugged! Question is...how safe are YOU in your neck of the woods? Cheers - JJ

It's probably just my background talking, but the only time and place I feel safe is when I assume I'm not.

The only places I feel that safe are Toyko and Osaka.
At home, I don't think I would walk around with a lot of bling on my wrist unless I was wearing a long sleeved shirt. Otherwise, I feel generally safe in the areas I frequent.

Very safe and proud to live in a country that doesn't embrace the gun culture. Not knocking the US per se, but up here if you flip someone off in the car after they cut you off, you don't have to worry about being shot at.

For now, it's safe to back in the water. The BKL only comes out at night. Although if you're not careful, he can spring on you around mid-day when the sun is directly overhead.

I feel safe but I think a lot of that has to do with being 6'4", 220 lbs, sporting an Army haircut, and knowing how to shoot a .50 cal.

I'm reasonably safe. Depends on the areas of town and the time of day. I'm more concerned with the safety of the country from a terrorism aspect right now that some kid trying to pull my watch off my rather muscular arm.
I should imagine NZ is very safe to walk down the streets JJ. Unless you happen to be a farmyard animal I suspect..... |

It's safe here. Now if JJ says he's planning a visit, can I change my vote?

Where I work in Saudi Arabia, there's not much chance of being mugged for a watch. However there are other dangers which have been well documented and I won't go into them here.

For most part, Have no issues wearing them anywhere, even in the city at night.
Usually the robberies around here are property ( ie B & E's), not too many muggings.

Touche. That's what happens when the finger is quicker than the eye.
