Hey - aren't these "what will it be worth" kind of threads against the rules?

No date or with Date is a choice for you to decide. More people may prefer the date over the no date but that is a personal choice. As far as the premium price to get a stickered watch, I see no point to have the stickers on a watch I intend to wear. If I can't find a watch in very good to excellent condition used , or new/unworn watch without the stickers why pay the premium unless the watch is a future collectible. A stickered green dial Daytona may be a future collectible that may go into a collection and the watch is never worn. Just resold or traded at some future date.

I paid £4500 for it 5 years ago. But its one of my favourite. Value is nice to know but not really fussed as I'd never really sell it.
I wear it I enjoy it. Its a work of art wear it and enjoy it. Likes these guys sell say.

I’m so rich I just buy NIB watches with stickers so I can peel the stickers off and flush them down the toilet. Then I put the watch in a bank deposit box and hide the keys around town and post treasure maps in adult bookstore bathrooms.

You should do that too. It’s so fun.

If by keep you mean wear then it depends on how bad you want it. If by keep you mean to lock in a safe and never look at in the hope of making a few grand some day then no.

Interesting. How do you get people to pay $1.5k more for your watch than for the 114060s DavidSW is selling?

thank you all for the reply. I have a few stickered rolex kept in the safe such as 16570, 216570, 116710ln, 126600 MK 1, so was thinking of getting a stickered 114060 to keep as store of value and admire as well. I just loved stickered rolex and stickered would be the only proof it is unworn.

I have a 16523 for my daily wear.
yeah I agree that watch is not an investment, for me, it is just to take out to admire at times. I don't rely on rolex as investment too.

Buy a used one that is polished. You'll save money on it and it will get beat up anyway.

Edit-never mind - I thought you meant buying one for daily wear.

is it worth to buy a year 2018 full stickers 114060 from grey dealer to keep?

It would be smarter to buy a 124060 retail and tuck it away, if that’s what you’re into. You’re going to pay top dollar for a 114060 right now, and you’re going to pay even more for a NOS sticker version.

You collect stickered watches, which is pretty cool, but i don’t think it’s worth spending the amount needed to get a 2018 114060. Get the 124060 and tuck that away. Don’t waste the extra cash for the previous stickered version.

But seriously, what is going on with all these investment threads recently? Watches are not good investments. And doubly so when having to pay inflated prices from a grey dealer. Carry on..

I think the problem is many really can’t afford a Rolex in today’s inflated environment, so this is a way to justify a purchase they probably shouldn’t be making. It’s not valid reasoning, of course, but buying beyond your means is the American way, lol.

Buy it if the price is good and wear/ enjoy the watch!
If you want to keep it as an investment, it may not be a good idea as the model is not something rare. Value may still go up over the years, but the rate of return may not be as good
If you just plan to wear it, look for mint condition one that can possibly save you few hundred bucks
