Rolex Explorer 214270 crown gasket?
New owner of a 214270 here (purchased this https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=824385)
I noticed the screw-down crown doesn't have a rubber gasket for water proofing. (My prior Submariner/GMT had gaskets). From my understanding, all Rolexs are water resistant up to 100m, but without a gasket on the screw down crown, is it still safe to get water near it? |

The Submariner and some other models use a Triplock crown, which has an added gasket on the exterior of the crown threads.
The Explorer and most models use a TwinLock crown, which has gaskets inside the crown tube and at the underside of crown itself. It’s totally fine to get it wet provided you remain within its 100m limit. |

Congrats on your new Explorer - it's a great reference (but I am biased)!
