When do we usually know which models have been officially discontinued?

Hello all. Does anyone know when should we expect to know which models have been discontinued?

As far as i know, Rolex deletes discontinued watches from their website at a time of new releases which usually takes place in Bazel Switzerland in March-April. I also have heard that once the prices will be increased in January, some models will be discontinued. So is it January or most likely April?

When it happens. Everything else is speculation.

Rumors start (and they are only that) and then the watch is removed from the Rolex website and all other official marketing channels (ADs)

However, even after discontinuation, some "discontinued" watches continue shipping. Not sure if they were all built prior to discontinuation and are just trickling out, or if they're still being manufactured. The 15200 comes to mind.

I'm still hearing that the platinum Daytona will be discontinued in 2022. I'm actually trying to get my hands on one for my 50th birthday.

There were rumors for years the green sub would be discontinued, well before it was.

I'm just curious as to sources. There's always noise but how much can one actually trust.

Typically padi starts a thread and announces all discontinued references and gives his opinion on where they are headed in terms of future value on January 1st at midnight GMT.

Then he gives out a free watch winder to anyone who guessed right throughout the year on discontinuations.

Not true would not give a watch winder thing to anyone, unless perhaps they have lost there two arms or the use of there fingers to manually wind there watches.

when you see it disappears from the rolex official website, you know it has been discontinued.

Ok ok I lied about that part. The rest is completely factual.

The correct answer is once per year in March or April. Used to be March now it's April.
