Incoming PAM 673
Been thinking about which reference to add to my collection as my first Panerai. I wanted something in 47mm, for a more “in your face” size that is differentiated from everything else I own. I have 7.75” wrists so I can pull off the size, and anything smaller doesn’t really feel like a true Panerai for me. Steel was a must as I wanted some heft to match the size. Then I wanted a balanced dial, and decided simpler was better. To me, the small seconds hand on a lot of references is sort of pointless when you don’t even have minute markers. Ultimately I decided on a classic 2 hand implementation. That basically left me with the 372 vs 673. For whatever reason, “Marina Militare” on the dial is just plain cool and I love that the reference is a special edition, so it had to be the 673. Managed to find one at what I think is a pretty good price, not much more than 372s are going for. Should be here in a couple days!!!
Now the question becomes which straps to get…

Here she is!!! Photos do not do her justice… the gold hands are just awesome. And luckily I have wrists big enough to pull off the “proper” size
Now it’s time to shop for straps

Congrats, I also love the "Marina Militare"on the dial. Makes the watch even more special. I was strongly considering this watch against the PAM 217 which I eventually got. My wrist size is similar to yours so I can also wear my PAM 217 47mm comfortably as well. Enjoy the watch!
