Incoming SLGA009

I've been going back and forth on getting a grand seiko for some time. Last year white birch in that evolution 9 case was a great watch. The 80 hour Hi beat movement was special. But for me a GS needed a spring drive.

I was on the waiting list for the soko frost when they announced the SLGA009. I immediately called the boutique and asked them to move over my deposit. On my way to pick up the watch I wasn't sure if I made the right decision. Picking the watch up today put my doubt to rest. The combination of polished and brush on the case is perfect. The dial like all GS dials is stunning. The weight is nicely balanced by the bigger lug width. I can't stop looking at my wrist.

Wow. Congrats! I like the dial. I think you'll enjoy the sweeping hand movement too.

Congratulations! I look forward to seeing that model in person. I just got the high-beat version but the spring drive movement looks fantastic in pictures.

GS really thought out of the box with the whole design and I can't even start guessing how much time they spend thinking. There's so much that doesn't make sense (22 mm bracelet with very little taper etc.) but it all works beautifully and is really comfortable to wear.

Beautiful watch and excellent purchase. Personally I wish they went with a whiter dial than keeping the silvery look but it is still a stunner.
