The likelihood of getting a Pepsi without strong history is extremely low.

If you just want a Pepsi, I’d go grey market. It’ll hurt a bit, but cheaper than the amount you’d typically need to spend these days to get a Pepsi.

If you ever do get the call (unlikely), you can sell the one you bought grey and you’re sorted.

Explore some of the vintage models and or dress watches.

There are some great watches to be found instead of waiting for the AD.

Why there are so many watches at grey market?

This is not the only forum where members have brought up the scarcity of Rolex watches at AD's. But there are lots of sought after models for sale at grey market. That does mean there are lots of people who have "got the call" and sold their waiting list models right away to a gray market dealer. I had namely thought that those sought after models would have been for customers whose aim is to keep watches, not to resell them. In my opinion it is a bit weird when someone is waiting several years a watch to buy it to himself/herself and simultaneously there are lots of afterwards sold watches for sale at the grey market.

It's almost funny how quickly the situation has changed in a matter of 18 months, where I live.

Back in late 2020, I was offered Subs and OP41s from several ADs. I had to decline as the first AD had already come through. Since then, nothing.

I've seen a few "display only" models, like the YG blue Sub ref 126618LB, TT Rootbeer, but nothing available for purchase, no calls either. Radio silence.

It kind of made me realise I don't need a fourth Rolex. Yes, a Pepsi would be nice, not gonna lie, but I don't want it that badly. I was put on a list in March 2018, four years ago! Last year, I found out they erased my details due to my small purchase history (SD43 in 2017). I offered to bundle a Calatrava (it was a grail) with a Pepsi, they refused.

No biggie though. I'm fine with what I've got for the rest of my life. More and more I feel like I wanna spend my money on other things.

You mentioned you had bought a number of pp n Rolexes before.. I assume you do have quite a collection by now, why not just enjoy all the pieces you own currently n just wait it out.. at least you have some Rolexes n pp to fall back on within you collection.

haha if this happened I could only imagine in several years when the ship is recovered because now some of those watches value would be through the roof.

Based on thread title, I expected something very different. Not losing perspective and seeing the bigger picture can be helpful during trying times. Peace.
