So now considering, the 15300, 15450/15500.

My gut says the 15300 is the right piece, for 39 exclusivity etc.

However my concerns are:
1. Maintenance issues? (I am used to 10 year services on my Rollies)
2. Never tried the 39 size (cannot see one), however, a 15450ST whilst fitting on my wrist felt a bit dial small (coming from Daytona / sub 5 digit). I have a flat but small wrist 6" or so

Thoughts most welcome
Hi. Since your wrist is 6" or so I think that RO15450 would fit you well, but also the 15300.

Regarding maintenance issues, well, take in account that both watches have the same movement, i.e., the caliber 3120. There are divergent opinions regarding this caliber. In my case I have to say that it has given me some headaches.

Recently the 15450 has been replaced by the 15550, also a 37 mm watch and the caliber is not the old 3120 but the new 5900 which is not in-house but a Vaucher Manufacture.

Undoubtedly the 15300 is the sweet spot for all the reasons already mentioned.

I could not get to grips with a 202 having no second hand and found the bracelet a tad skinny whereas the 15300 added a bit of thickness and being able to see the dial more alive with the beat.

But I totally get the Jumbo heritage and following but the 15300 is the better to wear IMHO and the 15400 / 15500 on my 6.75 wrist looked wrong.

The blue is quite a different blue to some later more sunburst dials but it’s no less alluring and suits the watch, date wheel in white love it or loathe it ? I like it but its nice if you can find a watch with the original cream date wheel with Italic font as its less dental than the service date wheels…but again each to their own.

For those on the fence try one alongside a 15202 a 15400(500) you might be smitten.

I went through this decision process with a similar sized wrist

Bought 15450 ultimately traded for 15202. If you like 5 digit Rolex , go with 15300 no doubt.

Many thanks for the opinions re the 15300 vs 15450

Went to try on an older white 15202 this morning, and have to say that the dial didn't appeal to me vs a silver 77350 that I am getting my wife.

Size wise however the 15202 seemed to fit my flat wrist pretty well, so will prob look out for the 15300 on that basis as do prefer the blue.
