That there is a bezel lip. This was a unique feature of the pepsi. The other GMT's did not have this thick rim around the bezel, only the Pepsi.

I suspect this is maybe a new Explorer2 with a ceramic bezel, hence the grey/white?.

I was trying to draw the arrow to the subtle change in color of the presumed ceramic insert. It is exactly like that on current gmt line

It does indeed look like the typical OF flaps.

Yep, I know that's what you were pointing at, I just noticed that this has a thick bezel lip, that was unique to the Pepsi. Maye it is another GMT - a new Pepsi or a Coke..

As a massive SkyD fan I'd love to see that, granted I'd never get "that" call but my main question is how???

Rolex cant cut Platinum to a fluted bezel right?

Also everyone be mindful of this...............

Remember last year and years before we all got hyped up on the teaser just to be let down with basically the same Exp II

People thought they seen a ceramic bezel and all kinds of things just to be shown a steel bezel. Just saying

They may have figured out how to flute platinum, who knows. I just can't reconcile why they'd show organic platinum and then in the very next sequence, what looks like a SkyD

It would make a lot of sense for them to release a platinum sky on its 10 year anniversary… my money is on that!

Nope. Explorer II wouldn’t have scallop bezel

You very well may be correct

My 326235 weighs around 240 grams and I can only imagine what a Platinum SkyD would feel like on the wrist plus the MSRP

Guessing what in the 70's?

Sign me up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Platinum Daytona is 282 grams ceramic is about 130. If the ratio is similar the sky would be over a pound

It's crystalline Platinum.

Meteorites of all materials generally do not exhibit crystalline features on their exteriors, they're always blasted smooth

My guesses are:
- Platinum Sky-Dweller: last picture with that smooth bezel, since we cannot have fluted on platinum
- 36, 37 or 38mm Sky-Dweller to target more women (options with diamond dials)
- New dial options for Submariner in Rolesor and in PM
- Milgauss discontinued

There is no Rolex in the catalogue with a twinlock crown, crownguards and smooth / flat bezel. Definitely a new model or a new case for Milgauss or Airking.

To be honest, I think they’re always had the capability, but they’ve chosen not to flute platinum to help differentiate between white gold and platinum. Would be too similar on the DD40s imo.

Both metals look the same to the untrained eye.

Unpopular opinion here… but I think pepsi goes away and they bring the coke back in it’s place for a while. This seems way more like the Rolex way than some GMT with a crazy new color scheme. Plus they’ve never made coke in the Cerachrom.

Love my pepsi too btw!

We also need to remember that devout Islamic men cannot wear Gold, so the immediate market for Platinum watches tends to be in the Gulf states, so the retail cost is probably not something Rolex imagine would be an issue.

But yes, I am raiding the kids piggy banks and college funds if this thing materialises!

Rolex teaser - 30 March 2022 release

one of the images is likely the deep sea james cameron. the last video was marking the 10th Anniversary of his dive. at the bottom in green it says "10 years later, our story with the deep continues". i think it will be similar to the current model but with green this time.

I would be ecstatic if they got rid of it completely… just wouldn’t want a new Pepsi.

That’s basically what happened when I got my hulk. It was discontinued shortly after.
