Snowflake 9411 Thoughts??
I came upon this seemingly all original snowflake and wanted to get your thoughts on it. To me it looks pretty nice, particularly the case. It obviously needs service and a little surface rust cleanup (there may be some minor pitting where the caseback meets the case). The only thing that has me worried is the discoloration around the crystal edge. It looks like something is down under the bezel, between the crystal. I can't tell if its rust or just gunk from years of wear.
Let me know if you guys have any observations that I missed. Thanks! |

Very nice. Just remove the crystal and clean the rehaut and the mid case of the staining. It uses a 25-125 crystal

Based on the photos, it looks like it is being sold by a professional, so it shouldn't be too hard to stumble upon it.

What do you guys think as far as price is concerned. Assuming running but unserviced.

Is the lower lug damaged, or is that a lightbox photo issue?
In this condition I would go for it at around $7k |

Agree with all. Rust will come off. Dial is honest with the usual greeny/purple pock marking across it (so you know it is not service dial) and a little brown mark of dial lift possibly by 12 triangle and at 1 pm s/flake too. Hands original too and unmolested. 7836 bit of flex and poss serv crown. Strong case - I'd say around the £6000 mark if in UK .

BTW I think those two flecks of brown stuff by the 12 and 2 are chunks of whatever has intruded into the case at 9:00. |

My DRSD has had a hard time sailing for the last 40 years and had it, 304l stainless steel not being up to the task. Rolex serviced it (yes, not an AD) and the rehault is again pristine, though only guaranteed up to 200m diving, not 610m. |

Ok, thanks for the info. Did they have to replace the crystal retaining ring? I can imagine the water would be able to sit under there for quite a long time doing damage.

Not really Jim, as per the invoice, it didn't seem to be needed.
Best wishes, Filipe |

Look very nice and honest condition. In fact all the parts are period correct in my opinion.
This one should engraved 9411/0 instead of 94110. The early 9411/0 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Might be a tad parsimonious at £6k \ $7.8k, but dial is not perfect (bit of pock-rot) and it needs the service/rehaut/plexi clean @ $500 or so etc...oh and by the way I valued it $800 higher than you :-) which made me laugh out loud.
Good luck with the 16753 purchase, nice piece.

Just a FYI,
sometimes the rust is actually within micro fractures within the plexi. I have had that experience where the rust seemingly looks on the surface but cannot be removed as it is build up within the crevices. Such could be the case here so be warned. |

The correct end link should be 380 with folded 7836 (must be Rolex logo on clasp). The end link is non removable type. Great watch and alway love to see the original condition like this one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Parts essential to the watch's integrity (crystal, tube, etc.) can be changed, while the dial and hands, for example, are better when original. I have no issue with a replacement crystal. |

IMO, the pimpled dial is not an attractive feature to these 9411 and is just a liability but to each its own.

Some of these Tudor dials have "tiny bubbles" like a neat texture, others have unseemly large bubbles that will probably open up and flake off soon. |

It looks as if it's the smaller texture type after looking at better pictures than the ones I've posted. I don't see any peeling or anything.

Looks like someone bought it! It wasn't me. Anyone here?
