The fade on the insert looks a little artificial. Not for me.

Why is there a white line between the colors on the bezel? It’s fishy

Is that actually an authentic red back bezel insert for a 1675???
Looks odd to me…

Sadly, I've seen some sellers call these fuchsia. Not good.

Quick look at it but seems to be an early 80s insert, way too late for it to be a fuschia…

Yes I thought that was a little strange too but my GMT mate says he has been a few like it. Its so tiny I cannot see when wearing it.

I wonder if others think its normal.

This area should be the most protected area on a bezel insert with it’s tight proximity to the crystal but it is also the most vulnerable area when removed from the bezel, especially when using an abrasive to quickly give the insert surface the appearance of age or in preparation for a chemical intervention.

Off-piste but the orig. soft edge plexi is so much nicer than a service one - nice looking watch that to me eyes!

David, unless I misread your comment, what 1665 is referring to is the white lines between the red and the blue on the face of the bezel.

white lines blow away!!!

JP where are you when we need you? ha ha !!

My phone camera doesn't do this insert justice, in reality it really has great vibrant colours and was cheap too.

Still saving up 7k for a fuchsia then.

The insert is real. Just a poorly aligned mask when anodising the red and blue in the factory. The fading makes it look more prominent.

This bleached insert doesn't look original to me. Looks like trash bin material.

Prima facie for me - looks like a bleached, non original dial.

Wrong!

Wrong John, supplied by Lee Fowler last year.

I posted the dial and hand on here before buying with Lee's permission and we all had a good look at them, don't you remember??

He probably meant to say insert iso dial.

The insert is bleached and has other issues. But, if you like it, wear it well.

Also, I had a typo in my last post - I meant the insert not the dial. By the way, the dial does look nice indeed.

Thanks for the help MO. You are correct - I meant the insert not the dial. This wouldn't be the first time that I responded with "dial" instead of insert, and it probably won't be the last.
