Our Take
There's arguably no vintage Rolex more iconic than the Datejust. Perhaps the most common reference we see before 1980's models, is the reference 1601. It features a bezel in 18K white gold, 36mm steel oyster case, and the more refined 62510H Jubilee.

This example is in excellent vintage condition with light surface signs of wear throughout but nothing crazy. Some marks on the case back commensurate with age and some light stretch on the jubilee bracelet. The dial is perhaps the best feature of this watch. It has lost its sunburst sheen to it and has a stunning matte-like finish. The dial is mint and also features beautiful large pumpkin tone lume plots which make the dial stand out amongst the crowd. Overall a very fine example of a 1601.
