First Rolex, legit check please!

2022 Rolex Datejust 41, bought from a well known jeweler. Brought into Rolex for sizing and they sized for me. I’m attaching the link to the photos as I cant upload them here. If more photos are needed, let me know I will post and comment the link asap
Thanks in advance!

You took it to a Rolex Authorized Dealer (a 2022 Rolex) and they weren't able to authenticate it for you?

If they had reason to believe it was fake I doubt they’d size it for you.

Why didn't the jeweler you purchased from size it for you?

As they are holding in their hands maybe?

Or..... every time they refuse to service one at RSC?

To name a few.

That’s exactly why I brought it to Rolex to get sized, to see if they’d refuse. As far as I know Rolex does not officially “authenticate” watches.

Bringing it to Rolex for sizing is a way of seeing if it’s genuine. I assume they don’t size fake ones.

So, you took it to "Rolex" to size it because you thought that they would unofficially authenticate it for you, but, then called somebody out on a message board for suggesting that you should have asked them to tell you if it was authentic?

So, you say you brought it to "Rolex" to size it. Does that mean you took it to an AD? To a boutique? Or to a Rolex Service Center?

If you took it to a Rolex AD or a boutique and it was an obvious fake, they would probably refuse to size it for you. Though, depending on which one it is, they may size it just as a customer service gesture - especially if they don't know you and you're a random coming in.

If you took it to an RSC, I believe that the first thing they do is check the serial number on the watch (even before sizing it) to ensure that it's not in their stolen database. So, if their serial number check came back with a fake serial number or as stolen, you'd probably know about it right away.

But, in the end, if you're unsure, the only way to fully put your mind at ease is to send it to the closest RSC for a service. They will thoroughly evaluate every aspect of the watch (case, bracelet, movement, dial, hands, crown, seals) and, if anything is not authentic, they will let you know.

Good luck with it.

I looked at these pics

imgur .com/a/pYRFUVj

and it looks okay to me.

As far as the RSC, that is correct they will not (or maybe will no longer) authenticate a watch right then and there on the fly, at least not the one in Beverly Hills we approached. You have to turn it in for a paid service, and you will get the watch back if it is authentic along with paperwork.

Just find a reputable gray market dealer and he should be able to authenticate it right then and there, possibly charging a small fee.
