And it is the chavs and general lowering of standards, oh yes and a crappy government that got me leaving the home land a few years ago! I love Britain and will always be British, I just hate the dumbing down of a fine country. I still hope that the good decent folk are outnumbering the chav's/Ned's but those folks seem to have a louder voice now. Also, why is it that regional accents seem to be dissapearing to be replaced by an amalgum of Essex/south east accents? Nothing wrong with those accents but the ones who want to reduce everything to the lowest common denomonater seem to have adopted it on masse! I am thinking of moving back one day but if I do I think it would be up to the wild west of Scotland, slower pace of life which suites me. I think the England that goodwatch mentioned largely only exists now in TV shows, I am sure it can be found but it is few and far apart sadly. |

Credit must be given ,where credit is due ........
The single best invention, originated in the town of Rugby. Up to this day the tradition lives on. 30,000 British Lions supporters visit our shores, very recently and in 12 years time they will be back. Salute !!!! |

Further to my post about "queuing" earlier, Some may (and do) see this as a weakness. It is not, we IMO, believe in fairness as a nation. So it follows that they who arrived first, take priority over later arrivals, hence the good old British queue. Fairness is another great British tradition and attribute......Unfortunately the rest of the worlds football and rugby refs fail to understand this concept!!!!!!
