To those that believe in the 32xx problems, what is your plan/strategy?
If you don't believe there are issues or think it's NBD, please don't comment as there are lots of threads for that debate.
I want to hear from those that fully believe there is a problem with these movements, have 32xx watches, and what your plan is going forward. I'm struggling with this myself. I have a 126710 BLRO and BLNR and love these two watches. So far they seem to be running fine and have plenty of warranty left on both, so I am leaning towards holding them until the end of the warranty period and then seeing where things stand. It's silly, but I also have a 216570 Polar that I'm holding as a "hedge". Figure if push comes to shove and I have to part with the 32xx watches at least I'll have a 31xx Rolex. |

I have a 32xx watch. As long as it's running well I'm not worrying about it. I don't even think about it. If it starts running like crap, I'm just sending it to Rolex to fix. Hopefully that only takes one time.
It's like constantly wondering if my car's engine is going to blow up...I don't need the stress.

I don't care and I have two of those. I've also owned a Tudor GMT and been driving Land Rovers.

I’ve put a lot of thought into this. So I’ve got two. 3235 and a 3230. The 3230 has just been serviced for the problem. It’s running great so far but I’m not gonna hold my breath. So my plan is to enjoy these as much as possible and send them in when they slow down. Now once that warranty is getting close to ending then I’ll consider trading them in. I’m not gonna get stuck paying for a service for a lemon movement. Sometimes I miss my 11 series sub just because there was absolutely no worry there. It barely deviated over the few years I had it. The new ones just wear so nice. I’m really hoping they sort this out real soon but seeing how it’s been a thing for several years they really need to get into gear now that every movement now has that escapement. |

SD 43 Warranty card from late 2017. Wear it pretty much every day.
Ran great (+4 sec day) up until 18 months ago. It started losing 10 sec then 20 then 60. Amplitude was gone. AD sent it to Dallas under warranty (aprox)15 months ago. Got it back a month later and it has been averaging +5 sec per day. I have 8 months left before the 2 year service warranty is up. The direct answer to your question- If it does it again (under or out of warranty) I will have it sent back again for repair and sell it. I love the fact it is a true 50 year version but I have/had Rolex watches I didn't service for 10 years and they never lost a beat. Who knows if every movement has issues or the first or just a few. Some people don't wear them everyday so the number of issues could be understated. The AD has a certified Rolex watchmaker and he tows the company line. "We have not seen any more or less issues than normal with this movement". It is my hope they had it figured out when mine was serviced. Time will tell. |

So far my April of 21 Subdate is running perfect. Yes amplitude is slightly lower than the earlier movements when I Timegraph it, but is amazingly accurate. And my 22 BLRO is doing the same as well.

Well mine has been sentback twice to the ad now. kinda fed up now. Got 2022 submariner date. What i have found now is when im wearing it its +1 to or so. However when i take it off say 11pm on the night and look at it in the morning at say 9am its like +5 seconds.
Is this normal because watches i have that cost £300 to £500 are spot on with the time in the same situation. I havent even had my submariner for a year yet... |

My strategy is simple; I won't buy a Rolex with a 32xx movement until I'm convinced there has been a permanent fix for the problem(s), and that means no issues reported over a period of years. I'm perfectly happy with my 22 year old 16710.

I've had two DJ41s that both developed the problem and went to RSC under warranty. One was bought new in 2016 and the other in 2017. This was in the early days of the 3235 movement and there was not much discussion about any issues that I was aware of until late 2017 or so. I sold both watches and began wearing an EXPII 216750.
I am a sucker for the DJ line. In February 2022 I decided to roll the dice and bought a new DJ36 with warranty card dated October 2021. It is my daily wearer. I'm watching it carefully and so far, after 14 months, no problems. I'm averaging +0.5 to 1.0s/day. I don't have a timegrapher so cannot speak to amplitude. If and when the 32XX "problem" becomes obvious, I will sell this DJ and give up on anything Rolex makes with this movement.

What is the impact of this issue, does this mean it will run fast or it will completely stop working?

Lol. I lost track of how many 32xx movement watches I have and/or had. At least 4. No problems with any of them and I do track their timekeeping.

It’s a fact, not a believe.
Mine is also suffering from the low amplitude disease, still under warranty. No strategy here, my watches are my jewelry and I don’t care much about accuracy. As long as it runs I am not going to sent it in for service especially since there is no known fix and after another two years sent it in perhaps once more. Too much hassle to be bothered with.

Had many, zero problems. If I did I guess I would write my congressman? Everything man made has issues from time to time. The more popular the brand the more you know about it.

My early 32xx movements tend to run slow. My ones over past few years run spot on.
My plan is the same. Wind, wear, enjoy, rotate and repeat.

I'm sworn off them all until I can see a glimmer of hope.
Thus far, these things have not met any of the key requisites that make me think they're superior to anything out there. There's plenty of other really nice watches to roll the dice on. Besides my remaining two Rolex watches with the 31xx movements fully meet my requirements anyway, so I'll be sitting on them. The next move on my part will likely be a Spring Drive and that will complete my collection |

That's actually the key to avoiding the issue. Have so many 32XX watches that they don't get worn enough to exhibit problems.

Whether they stop is an unknown but I assume it would be inevitable as in a lot of instances the movement is grinding some parts away which is catastrophic for a watch movement long term as the metal particles spread throughout. In general, apart from a longer power reserve, a large number of these new movements haven't met key KPIs. |

To be honest, I owned a DJ41 purchased in 2019 and had it for almost 3 years before I sold it. Not because of the problem with the 32xx movement but because it wasn't getting any wrist time. For the time I owned it, it ran great. FWIW.
