I think you misunderstood my post. I was telling you why it's not as popular here...and almost every time someone explains why they don't care for it, the words "rubber strap" are used.

Yes, I am familiar, and a fan, of the oyster flex bracelet. And realize fully it's not just a rubber strap.

it's one of my favorites. I owned it briefly when it was the 116655 and received more compliments than any other watch I've worn.

Really like this watch a lot actually!

May I ask why you got rid of it if it's one of your favorite? obviously only if it's not a personal / sensitive reason.

I will get another 126655 one day but the timing isn't great right now. The only reason why I got rid of the 116655 is cause I couldn't get a perfect fit. The clasp on that reference didn't even have an EZ link and I was right in between sizes on the oyster flex.

As someone that's owned many oyster flex models the fitment has to be perfect. The gold watches are heavy. Worn too loose they flop around the wrist in a way that is not an issue for Steel watches. Obviously too tight is never comfortable.

Anyhow, the 126655 comes with a glidelock style claps. Major problem solved!

The watch is an awesome timepiece, my friend bought it last year and he couldn’t stop talking about the watch.

Ah yeah I’m very familiar with the fit of the OF , I used to have the WG Daytona 116519 and while it did fit me pretty well, I hated that the clasp was never in the center of my wrist cause one of the OF band was shorter than the other one.

Curious to see how this works with glidelock.

It is not as popular as all the other Rolex watches simply because it is so hard to capture the exceptional warm color tones and beauty of this reference!
On 95% of the online wristshots it looks like a utterly boring black hole. ( a selection of the remaining five percent you will find below) ;)
I had one, sold it and huge regret…. Watch got the most compliments by far.

Such a stunning watch! So many people do not see the beauty of it yet. Maybe next year when it will be discontinued 😂🤣

I think it’s one of the coolest if not the coolest modern watch Rolex makes. I would definitely love to own one of it was in my price range.

I love this reference. It’s on my short list of 3-5 pieces I’m trying to obtain.

This reference was never on my radar but I saw it the other day on the subway. Some dude had it on and I could not take my eyes off of it. My wife felt the same way. Really such a beautiful and stunning piece.

Love it, the whole combo just works! And I believe it’s got a glide lock?
Will eventually buy one!

I believe price is a big deal as to why not as popular
