DD36 and DD40 owners, what is your wrist size and how many links removed?

I'm having a bit of a "tough" fit with the DD36.
With a 6.5" wrist and 3 links removed it's fine when I'm not active but can be a little snug when I'm out and about.
If I add a link it's looser and flops on the wrist but doesn't spin around.
Interstingly the DD40 is tighter than the 36 with the same amount of links removed (3) so I had to add a link, It's a little loose but I can manage.

So how many links have you DD36/40 owners removed and what is your wrist size?

(I'm not to keen on having to shell out another small fortune for a teeny tiny 1.25 link )

Adding some pictures of my DD36 when my wrist hasn't "swollen".

I mean, you obviously need to remove one link in those photos. There's no possible way your wrist swells up in an afternoon to the point that could be uncomfortably tight if that's your morning starting point.

I guess I like my watches a little loose
But right now I can barely fit a pinky between my arm and the bracelet at the end of the day.

Dd40 3 for 6.5 inch wrist and it was always on the loose side from very loose in the morning to slightly loose in the afternoon. I wear watches in my right sometimes which is 6.75 inches and I find it perfect at three links.

My cousin purchased 2 1.25 links for his plat dd as he refused to compromise on fit.

I like mine a little loose too, but that much wrist swelling seems bizarre.

Not sure there will be a solution since it seems you need less links than you have now in the morning and a bit more than you have now in the afternoon. Lack of adjustment seems to be the President's downfall.

It fits fine in the morning but I could benefit from another 1.25 link. I think a half link will be too much.
Will drop by the AD during the week and see what they have. I guess it will be the most expensive link I have ever purchased.
For a watch this expensive it's very strange that Rolex doesn't include 1-2 of the larger link pieces to get the perfect fit.

Seriously, if your wrist swells that much you might want to figure out what is going on with your health.

Likely a 1.25 link will be your solution

I don’t think this is a fair statement. My wrists don’t expand this much but some people do. It’s why Rolex design the easy link for 5mm adjustment.

I could be wrong, but I’d bet the OP is a healthy eater. The magic of wrist swell is generally much greater in those who typically don’t consume massive amounts of sugar and salt. Those who do, generally have constant/more consistent wrist swell.

The watch looks great OP. Hopefully you can find a better fit with a 1.25 link if it’s intolerable.

I don't have any health issues (that I know of) but have gained about 8 lbs the past year.
Visited the AD today and they will order a 1.25 link for free

DD36 and DD40 owners, what is your wrist size and how many links removed?

I’m about a 7.5 inch wrist and the DD40 fits me perfectly out the box no adjustment needed.

For 7 inch or smaller wrist I’d recommend the DD36.

I was watching a recent David spade standup on Netflix and he mentions his Rolex in his act. He’s wearing a champion dial YG DD. I don’t know what size it was but it looked huge on him so I’m guessing it was a DD40. Didn’t look good at all on him. He should have gotten the 36 for sure and really a different dial or going white gold or rose gold would have been a + as well.

Does having two 1.25s get you to a closer fit? I thought one got you to the in-between size. Is there a in-between-in-between size?

I wear all my watches loose so when I get a DD I'm likely going to have to add a 1.0 or 1.25 link based on previous try ons at the AD.

Sounds like you need the incremental link. Expensive yes. But probably worth the price if it really enhances your comfort
