Do you prefer yellow gold Rolex or Everose gold?
Do you prefer yellow gold Rolex or Everose gold? And why? Curious as I always thought rose gold was amazing but lately something in my brain has changed and yellow gold is starting to appeal to me more. So strange how tastes change out of the blue with no rhyme or reason

Depends on the watch and the colors. I cant say I prefer either. For example I have a CHNR and a YG day date. Both golds work splendidly.
That said there are certain skin tones which would favor one over the other, so thats always something to consider when choosing. |

Unfortunately neither for me, I like the white gold watches the Rolex offers.

I've seen too much fake yellow gold in my life to like the real stuff, so rose, but I also think it depends on your skin tone. Lighter skin - rose. Darker - yellow.

Yellow gold. And if I want a white metal then steel or platinum.

I like rose gold on OF but prefer yellow gold for all two tone models and models with a bracelet.

I completely disagree and think the opposite lol. Rose gold looks horrible on lighter skin tones like mine and blends in. Light skin- yellow, dark skin- rose

OP- YG DD40 is classic Rolex and always will be. That's my vote and what I bought so I put my money where my mouth is
Also the fact that gold is actually yellow. |

I like yellow and white better than rose. White can look a bit bland but is less obvious than yellow or rose so it has its advantages. It's nice to have both!!! No rose in my mix.

I prefer rose, yellow is very nice, but oddly enough it is a bit TOO loud compared to RG

I’d be in the yellow camp, although some of the rose gold looks amazing.

Yellow gold on full bracelet. Rose on leather or rubber strap. Full Rose is a bit overkill IMHO

For me it’s yello gold, although if you asked me the same question, except replace Rolex with AP, it would be rose gold.

Everose for me.
I always think yellow gold is a bit 80’s and old fashioned. Nothing wrong with that but just not to my personal taste. I love the very slight pink hue off of the rose gold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I like both. However currently only own a GMT in RG (126715chnr) and a RG YM (126655)
And love them. I could say these are my favorite Rolexes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yellow Gold. Being in my Senior years, the classic YG appeals to me more.

Yellow is my favorite but in a deep enough collection there is a place for WG and RG.
I went with YG first and WG second and would eventually like to add a RG piece too. And of course some of it depends on your skin tone but I firmly believe everyone can wear any of the three shades of gold. Some shades may just look slightly better than others on someone. Personally, I agree. All the gold color choices are lovely, but I feel that there are cons to each. YG is too loud, RG patinas, and WG flies too far under the radar for the money.

Rose gold for me. I think full yellow gold (along with yellow gold TT) can look a bit "Gordon Gecko / 80's stockbroker" to me.

Technically wouldnt classic Rolex be DD36? Looks at wristshots of powerful men, generals, older celebs, politicians, presidents. Common theme: 36mm DayDate in YG (rose wasnt common then tho ) |
