Where do you store your watch

Nothing too fancy for me. 16234.

But where do you keep your pieces. Safe? Watch box? Hideaway spot?

It’s my first proper watch so it’s currently proudly on display on my bedside table.

Looking for ideas.

Love the dial colour variations you have going there. Nice set.

I have a roughly 8x12 flat, plushly padded tray that was the original packaging for one of my wife's necklaces. It comfortably houses 8-10 watches, laid flat. I've debated buying a Wolf (or similar) 10- or 12-watch box several times, but I kind of like just having them loose.

That being said, I have a big gray box like the big white box above, and I do use it from time to time.

In Dubai you don’t need a safe

I keep my watches loosely in a drawer. In the past I had a cheapo Wolf box but didn't like using it which is why I never upgraded. Given there was not one burglary in any of the apartments in my building in 50+ years I haven't seriously thought about a safe. Hopefully it will stay that way...

False bottom of a trash can, no one looks there until now.

I’m considering a winder. Can I ask why you changed your mind?

Never considered a winder as I don't own any perpetual calendar or similar. At my age and given my eyesight simple time and date watches rule... LOL
And it feels much quicker to just grab a watch from the drawer compared to a box, so no point in upgrading to a nice box from Goyard or Scatola etc.
Also had a Patek 4 watch roll at one point but it was just way too long and overall bigger than expected.

In and out of Dubai for decades myself, love the place and the safe environment their government provides.
Typically like most of the Middle East where you can go anywhere anytime and never have to worry about a thing. Wish a bit more of that in my country
