111 vs. 005

Thank you for your opinions from my '210 vs. 112' thread. However, many of you said that you would rather have a 111 or a 005. Well, which would you rather have?

EDIT: ...and why is the 005 about $1000 cheaper than the 111?

Both are great PAMs, I chose the 111 and satisfied my LOGO craving with the Zero.

Go with whichever smiles at you most in the end, I promise you will not be disappointed.

the movment is diferent.
i have 112 but i like all 3 watches, but prefer the clean dial, and sandwich, the 000 and 005 aren't sandwich.

Sandwich
Crystal
Little seconds
Manual wind

I the 111

005 ....

Scarcer
Panerai logo
...and looks absolutely fantastic in pvd/dlc

Perhaps any of the two, with the other at a later stage ?? ...

because crystal used for caseback costs $500 and sandwich dail for the balance!

Actually, I think that 000/005 are positioned as entry level models, and 111 is higher demand than those double zeroes.

As i'm sure you know you can't go wrong with either.

I wanted a historic model with a running seconds hand so when i was ready to buy my AD had a 111 in so bought that

If they had a 005 in and not a 111 i would have bought that

If they had both in then who knows probably flipped a coin

I'll say the same thing again.

For 3 hander - 111
For 2 hander - 210

For PVD goodness, JF has it right - 000

005 for me!! I have #653 of 1200. But then again, I knew I wanted the logo dial and the 005 was my choice! Good luck!

Do you think that the 111 would look good with the right ammo strap? If someone on here has that combo, would you be kind enough to post pictures of it?

Thanks.

(I wont be posting for a while since I am leaving to go on vacation, so )

I am an owner (not a long time) of a 111, I absolutely love it, you may also like to look at a 024 or 025 both of which I have owned and miss terribly, I will be at some later stage be looking to buy a 25 to compliment my 111.

Thank you so much for your help! One thing I love about this forum is that when a question is asked, everyone posts and tries their best to answer it. Thanks for the pictures, and if you have more feel free to post them!

Do they make a 005 (or similar model) with the clear case back. If PAM has a model like that; that would be my ideal choice. Logo in the front, guts in the back.
