It seems like you and @GB-man are the only ones keep this thread alive.

I wish I will get a CMS someday to join in.

Linesport collectors are few and far between lol it’s akin to being a Code 1159 collector.

Although with that said Pierre collects them so there’s that.

Question out of ignorance: what makes this line of watches sports? Are movements more robust relative to other models? Is there shock absorption structure? Has anyone used it for sports? Thx in advance…

🤫
Let’s keep it that way. The Linesport was surprisingly comfortable and wear no where like a 44mm. And the CMS is good value for a split second from any high end watchmaker. But it is good that there are relatively less people asking for it. I hope I can get one for 2025 allocation since 2024 is already in the work.

Yeah I don’t think we have to whisper osama sendi is the only one beating the linesport drum publicly and he’s into the older ones.

Thank you! Good to hear that you used them jet skiing. Also, accuracy part is impossible to me.

Congratulations! Wear it in good health. A yellow dial CMS is also on my wishlist with the boutique. Hopefully one will show up in the future.

Congrats and welcome. My ARS2 remains my favorite watch I own. It’s just a perfect daily.

I love the boldness of the yellow of the ARS 2. Have you gotten a lot of attention wearing that watch?

Yeah I tend to just photo dump whatever recent Linesport pics I’ve take in the last month or so here and I had a shot of the CMS at the ready.

I truly prefer the ARS2 to the CMS which is crazy I know. Idk. Maybe because I’ve had it for almost 3 years it’s become a staple in my high turnover world lol

Other than that the ARS2 is with you longer, any reason why you prefer it over the CMS. (It does sound crazy ) The CMS movement is probably has a lot more going on. Or do you prefer the Octa movement so you can just leave it off for days without setting it?

It’s a bit thinner and wears a touch smaller lacking the pushers and having the offset crown. On paper it’s minimal but on wrist it’s noticeable. It’s a quirky watch and the octa layout feels very Journe to me. The CMS sometimes feels like a simply logical layout for a split with date.

I like the haphazard nature of the dial layout which is odd because I spend most of my time criticizing other watches for lack of symmetry. Idk it’s truly a strange gut feeling. I think a big part of it may be that 30 minute chronos are just not as useful as the other 12 hour ones I have in rotation. I’d trade this being a split for a manual wind 12 hour chrono from FPJ immediately.

I see. Now that you pointed it out, I do see more FPJ DNA in it. This is not good that I am now confused as to which one I should ask for...

This is CMS which is Chronographe Rattrapante in full. This is the rose gold version but it also comes in titanium and platinum. Both RG and Pt version are substantial since the movement in the precious metal cases are in 18k gold. But the titanium version has aluminum movement and also see through windows on dial.

I personally prefer the titanium version since I will wear it as a sports watch. But the rose gold or platinum version do feel very solid and with substance. So it is all a personal taste.

All are gorgeous and wears surprisingly well despite the 44mm case size since it basically has no lugs so it is very compact when it is on the wrist.

In retrospect I think I would go CTS2 lol but that could be because its the only one I don't have. Its undoubtedly the most "journe" of the 3 but also is basically useless complication wise and no date lol

I would be happy with any of them. Great casual watch. Nobody knows what the hell it is. Feels special. Like wearing a aquanaut when I had bought mine 10 years ago. Sadly IG fame killed their carefree wearability.

The funny bit is that if forced to sell one I would likely sell the ars2 because even though my heart loves that watch my brain tell me the CMS is elite lol

Stay the course!

Most of the models from the Classic collection are at 40mm. Only the Line Sport is in 44. As I said before, the 44 spec sounds large but you must try one on to see that it does not wear anywhere near a 44 due to slim profile and lugless design. I am no fan of large watches and a Line Sports model was never on my radar until I tried one on at the boutique. Never let the case diameter scares you as it is the lug to lug and how the lugs curve away from the case which matters.

Amen to that! The cases are slim and the bracelets drop right down from the case so they wear much smaller than 44mm. It’s all dial on your wrist!
