Great info. Thank you for your reply

76100 lollipop circa 1985.

Rolex case, Rolex crown, Rolex band/clasp. Only things non-rolex were the dial and movement! (Not sure about the hands though)

Beautiful!

What's the reference #?

I've been completely bitten by the Vintage Tudor bug. Trying to learn as much as I can and would love to add one of these vintage snowflakes.

Prefer that config. too.

But were subs just 'day-dive' watches, was their time numbered as a pre-eminent dive watch, and what did professional commercial divers really want !?

My research (with Commercial divers from mid-60s/Ex Product developers), has uncovered what lead to the date being on a 1665 Sea Dweller (orig. it wasn't going to be included), was the feedback from commercial dive pro's of which many 1665 were destined to be worn by, who could realistically expect to spend days if not weeks living in underwater environments, knowing the date was an obvious advantage - pre mobile phone/l.e.d clocks.

So perhaps we are wrong.... a 'real' dive watch should have a date ;-)
