Tried this on

The new zenith. Have to say a stunning piece. The clasp was secure and nice upgrade without the ceramic bezel
Prefer this to the dayonta

The bezel looks huge; it almost looks like a replica Daytona.

I agree. There are much better El Primero models out there that don't try (inadvertently or not) to mimic a modern Daytona.

This would be my choice... 38mm without a tachymeter bezel: https://www.zenith-watches.com/en_us...-3600-69-m3200

Good call. That's a super nice Zenith.

I prefer the pump pushers over screw down.

Zenith needed to address the clasp. Pity about that bezel though.

I think this belongs in the Non Rolex forum....

The bezel looks way too big to me....

Looks awful. Not even close to the aesthetic bliss of a Daytona.

I do not care for the aesthetics of this model. Looks way too big and out of proportion. I do prefer its pushers which are not screwed own. Big win there over the Daytona.

If the economy can take a dump (and not because we're in WWIII), I'd like to pick up a nice El Primero.

Nice pickup. I like the stainless bezel more myself. For some reason I really like the pink version (at least in pictures), probably because it would be way different than anything I have.

Has the clasp been updated from the ceramic models?

Well said.

Glad you found something you like OP, but I think it’s a bulky hot-mess.
