Rolex Oysterdate help - bezel?

Hi everyone!

I am new to this forum and this is my first post, actually also new to vintage watch collecting. Last year I bought my first Rolex, and naively I thought that good review from the buyer also meant that the watch would be completely original. Since gaining some insight on vintage watches I now feel unsure and would very much like to know what you think about my watch and it’s originality or complete frankenwatch.. I do think the case and caliber are original and appropriate to an Oysterdate precision.
Btw I really find this a beautiful watch.

I bought a Rolex Oysterdate Precision from 1964, model 6466, ref Nmbr 106xxx

The dial has pink gold hands and hour markers. The Rolex and Oysterdate precision reference is also pink gold and seems land on, not painted.

The date dial is a roulette dial. Red for even numbers black for uneven. Has some patina on it.

The bezel / case i find beautiful, but I am unsure wether is is factory of after market. It is pink gold, same as the dial, and maybe Florentine type of bezel? Sides of the case are stainless steel. 30 mm diameter.
At the 6hr marker it says: Swiss

The crown is yellow gold, witch I am unsure of its originality. My style would prefer stainless, perhaps I might change it when servicing. What do you think?

The buckle is also yellow gold, but I think not original because it says acierinox and it is yello gold (in colour). Any opinions on it?

The caliber is looking old, which seems fine to me.

The glass does not have a cyclops, and I find that perfect since I do not like the cyclops. I read somewhere that Rolex also made watches with a date and without the cyclops. Is this original or aftermarket / replacement glass?

Is it worth servicing? The watch is in good running order.

Is the dial original or repainted? How can you tell with this watch?

The inside back of the casing has a reference etched to 10/64 which is coherent and correctheid with the numbers on the case.

Above the 10/64 there is a reference What does this mean?

What does the stamp with KB mean?

The back casing also says rolled gold 40 micron. Is this a correct reference to the bezel being pink gold?

Ps I had to find some old photos when I bought the watch, since mine were way to large. Anyone know how to upload bigger photos?

Thans everyone!

I don't think this is a 1964 watch, but it is probably from the mid 1950s.

The case back, dial, date wheel and hands are typical of watches from around 1955.

The scratched 10/64 inscription and associated script will be the record of servicing and the bit above the 10/64 could be the initials of the watchmaker or an invoice reference.

The gold on the top of the case lugs is very odd and I've never seen another watch like this one. The design on the lugs and bezel is also unusual and is probably not an original Rolex finish.

The overall look of the watch makes me think that the finish is aftermarket, possibly from the Middle East or Indonesia. It looks to be well done but I doubt if you will be able to find out who did it or where it came from.

These were made during the 50's, and the serial would likely put it at '55.

Back then we didn't call gold pink or rose that I can remember although it was often mixed to achieve a different hue.

The Rolled Gold 40micron simply means that the layer of gold plate has been rolled onto the base steel and is 40 microns thick. KB is likely the metalsmith who did the gold work.

The crown may have been replaced at some point, or it may have just not been a part the metalsmith included in the work.

This watch appears to be in excellent condition and not used/worn much. No reason to believe the dial has been changed or painted by these photos.

Wo thank you both for the information! I did not realise it was from the fifties. So after all not a bad watch, but a special bezel indeed! Which for me I perfect and as I am not looking resell or upsell for value.
