New GS US Exclusives - SBGW311, SBG313, and SBGW309

https://grandseikogs9club.com/chroni...gw311-sbgw313/

Rock solid releases....nothing exciting but the 44GS case in the 36mm form is a really nice format I've enjoyed since the SBGW289. Iwate happens to be my favorite texture from GS thus far as well in general so it's a win for me.

But bottom line......GS needs to make more interesting moves instead of reshuffling dial designs/colors across references this often. The only reason why this is working somewhat still is the quality of the actual watches and the fact they don't produce that many watches in comparison to their peers at this price point.

This is the key remark "nothing exciting."

While I like the cherry blossom dial, they ruined it for me with the green seconds hand. It makes me think of a watermelon . With that said, I’d rather opt for the Watermel0n (Gen2) dial by Studio Underd0g for a fraction of the price.
For the GS watch I’d definitely go preowned for a lower price; maybe even opting for the green dial instead.

Tough crowd. 44GS case, 36mm, really nice dial, manual wind. Nice solid watches, IMHO.

Beautiful watches - love the pink / cherry blossom dial. Shame it’s a US only release :)

I’m still obsessed with the Ginza version - will have to find a used one next time I’m in Japan.

Saw them in person at the Hollywood event. Boring like hell. Unless you like a hundredth or so iteration of the Mt. Iwate dial with a slightly different colour.

Now that Kevin O’Leary has asked Grand Seiko for the pink dial 36mm one I should probably reconsider. He’ll ruin the look by putting it on a red strap though.

I kind of like the pink one, 36mm is small though.

Hard pass, it's just a comically bad design decision to put the blocky looking 44GS case in a 36mm size. Once again Seiko shooting themselves in the foot by making too many models and too many watches, look at the value of their products just plummeting off the face of the earth despite the quality they offer. This brand just can't seem to get out of its own way...
