Today, received my purple bel canto but the chime got no sound when wear it on my wrist. When put near my ear the chime sounds very soft. Do I miss something?

Hmmm.... agree it's not super duper 110dB loud, yet no need to get it very near your ear to hear it either. Am sure you have it wound up, etc, so guess maybe it needs service?

Allan, an idea... Set the time to top-of-hour after it strikes, then push the right side/bottom 'chime on/off button' a few times. Mine chimes nicely when i do this when turning it 'on'.
