Strange Watch Issue - Thoughts?

Hoping someone may have had this issue before and be able to give me some advice or insight. Obviously I'm sure Rolex will need to repair it.

I have a just over 5 year old GMT (Batman) that I wear as my daily watch. Over the last couple of weeks I've noticed that's it been losing a lot of time when I put it on each morning so I purchased a watch winder in hopes that the constant movement might keep on time better. Typically I only wear this watch 10 hours a day.

I just now noticed that this watch loses EXACTLY 2 hours each night while it's off my wrist, even while it's on a watch winder. Sure enough today when I went to put on my watch at 10:42AM the watch was showing 8:42AM instead. This same exact 2 hour lapse happens everyday. Has anyone ever heard of such a weird problem? The watch itself is in perfect condition and has never been dropped or damaged in anyway.

My other issue, my local Rolex dealer where I bought this is no longer a Rolex dealer. My next closest dealer here in the Bay Area is an hour or so away but I have no history with them. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Cut out the middle man and send it to a Rolex service center directly.

No mention of ever winding it, OP. Might want to start with giving it forty winds even if you’re keeping it on a winder. Also, EXACTLY two hours multiple times sounds… peculiar.

RSC would be my recommendation.

Exactly 2 hours would imply an issue with the hour hand jump feature/engagement and not a simple winding problem.

If it is still in warranty, or a known warranty issue then the RSC would likely be the only place to take or send it. If it is out of warranty then the old Independent RSC on Post Road in SFO would be a good place to take it.

Thanks, yes I do wind it routinely.

Unfortunately it's just over the 5 years warranty period. Having never had a Rolex repaired or serviced, is this old RSC in San Francisco a reputable place to have it fixed? I've always heard stories online about only using authorized Rolex service centers. For some reason I thought the dealer you purchased the watch through handled shipping to service centers. Of course in my case my dealer is no longer a Rolex dealer so I assume they'd be of no help.

Thanks for the suggestion.
