My thoughts exactly.

It's neither new nor creative, but it's perfect.

Based on prior experience, there could be another release later at W&W. That one is for the grand comps. I'm also looking forward to the Patek Cubitus in Oct.

Yep whether a watch is new or creative means nothing to me. When the aesthetics sing to me, that's enough for me

5330G. The red and yellow accents change the whole dynamics of the blue dial.

The new world time is my favorite. I don’t understand the pricing of it, however. They added a date complication, but a little over I think $3k more than the recently discontinued 5230P seems high.

I was actually really disappointed by this release. I had high hopes for a new world time this year. I always loved the 5230G and the 5110P before that, to me they were truly the perfect dress watch.

The new model with the jeans style strap and apparently a new case just looks too sporty.

And I hadn’t even noticed the price yet. How can you increase the white gold model that much? 65K CHF seems excessive.

wow, the new white gold world timer is REALLY expensive, even if it's quite nice.

There seems to be a lot of blue this year. the 5164g works, but I would still prefer the aquanaut in steel. Doesn't look like I have anything I want from this years collection.

I agree, an unimpressive release.

I’m surprised they rebooted the 5164 so quickly without the crown based integrated travel time. A quick paint job for the dial and precious metal, double the price and jobs done.

Here's the first Hodinkee article on the new WT. It is priced at $76K in the US. Ouch.

If you can pick only one between the 5164G and the 5980G, which one would you pick?

Edit: went for the 5164G!

The 6007g trio was severely criticised for having a stamped dial instead of a hand guilloche one. I always thought that for the price the criticism was unfair.

Now they are releasing a watch with the same dial but more than 2x the price. It is more expensive than the discontinued platinum version. I’m curious to see if the criticism regarding this particular aspect is maintained.

I was just writing to express my disappointment that the cheap looking carbon pattern is spreading through the catalogue like the plague. Smelling continued cost cutting given that the carbon pattern is printed rather than engine turned.

Just to add, the WT with date has a busy dial from the complication alone. The carbon pattern and the "noisy" jeans strap make it look too busy in my eyes. Other than that a great watch and together with 5164G the best of the bunch.

I have the steel checkered chrono version, it is a fairly hard to read watch imo. This new WG version definitely looks amazing though!

Really nice indeed and think that many people will consider this one their favorite W&W 2024 release from PP. The dial seems matte to me though. Would have preferred to see this one in the 5168G blue with shinier dial and dark blue strap.

Patek are bold and branch out some of those watches are Corum, but they win with heritage.

I asked my PP AD what's with the denim straps? His view is that many countries are tightening up and prohibiting the import of alligator straps, so they've been looking at other options for a while. Not for me mind.

Same here! I want it for the 5167A, but I think that should work, considering it is the same case size.

But, as Patek isn't giving out the green straps anymore (unless you have one of the very few green 5167A), I am not sure if they will sell the new gray-blue strap to 5167A or 5164A owners.

Would love the 5164G strap for my 5164A, but as cavallino17 says, I doubt PP will sell one to non-5164G owners.

I like the inline PC (5236P) w/ salmon dial, but it's a bit on the big side for a PP, IMO, at 41.3mm.

I managed to find a few pairs of the 5650 strap so this one will be just a matter of time!

5164G is quite a nice release, and I would actually say very predictable.

PP wants to move more towards precious metal. With the discontinuation of the 5164A and without a WG offering, obviously made sense to get rid of stainless followed by WG release.

Of course they can’t release WG in the same color scheme (otherwise no one can tell the difference between the former 5164A and the 5164G).

The 5261R was such a big hit with men (even though it was released as a women’s watch).

So perfect combo, release with a new color scheme using denim (already been market tested and proven to be desirable). I’d also say most people paying $65k for a watch want it to be a bit of a statement - WG doesn’t do that but the denim with WG does.

People will say it’s a lazy release from a design standpoint (which it is), but quite ingenious from a sales standpoint. If Patek makes the same volume of 5164G as they did 5164A, every single piece will still sell. Just added $20k of revenue per piece

Indeed; they will sell.
