Registering with multiple AD's across same franchise e.g.(Bainbridge)
I am looking for 126610LN . I really like the watch and have been in waitlist since Feb .
I have contacted few other AD's in Greater Seattle Area recently over the past week. I am travelling to portland for a small trip and wanted to check if i should / can register with BainBridge in portland DT too, I am concerned that the<waitlist/ if there exists one> across multiple AD's under the same franchise like bainbridge is shared and they may cancel my name all together ? Should i share the info to the other AD ? just to be safe that they are aware i have registered my interest in other location. Or i should keep quite and keep each conversation separate . I am really into the watch and looking for building connections withone where i can get hold of more in future please suggest |

I think it depends on the way the franchise is run.
I've had one tell me they work by the central office getting watches and an area manager sending them out to various stores. Another told me each store is independent of one another. At that latter store I did stop by another location from my usual just to see what's on display and in just talking, the sales associate stated the corporate preference is for customers to stick with just one location. I say it can't hurt to ask at the other location especially if it's a trip you make often. They'll let you know what the party line is. |

I ran into this as well where I am. One private local company has 2 AD stores and I had only registered at one of them. Its been over 2 years of no watches (and Im talking pretty simple stuff, 36mm OP, 36mm DJ). Today I went into their other location and they said while the company as a whole handles distributions across both locations, one SA cannot see the customer wish list of another SA. I kindly asked if it is ok to switch SAs or have a SA in the new second location be my point of contact going forward and they seemed happy to handle the request. Not all personalities match or communications styles and I think having the right SA could definitely mean they are pushing harder for you or you're top of mind. I figured it was worth the risk. I also flat out asked if I would be sabotaging my chances altogether and they said absolutely not.

I don’t think it does any harm to enquire after all what have you got to lose? But maybe keep your requests separate

Only request at one outlet of a chain. Request from as many independent ADs you can personally visit. Don't discuss your business with any AD with another AD.

In the UK where watches of switzerland dominate, I seem to recall they actually specifically tell you not to try to go to other branches for Rolex. Their 'list' is an online central database so they would know. But I am absolutely certain that being in this 'database' / 'list' has no purpose other than to fob people off. |
