Can the new SS Daytona be put on Oysterflex like the old one could?

Thanks to this board, I ended up putting my 116500 on an Oysterflex a few years back and made sure to get the smarty end links to go with it (wouldn’t look right otherwise). Since then, I haven’t put it back on the steel bracelet.

Was wondering if you can put the SS 126500 on an Oysterflex as well and if so, how it looks. I don’t think I’ve seen one on here before.

Below is not my pic but same exact set up I have.

Looks good. How do the end links work and stay put?

I don’t see any reason not. The lug width is still 20mm and it looks to me like the case shape still accomodates the Smarty endlinks.
I got to compare my 116500 side by side with a 126500 in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago. Despite the minor changes they are virtually identical in size.

Why would you put a rubber bracelet on a daytona... seems silly. Paying premium for a rolex on a rubber strap is blasphemy no matter how comfortable it is.

I have a 116500LN and Smarty End Links enroute. What is a good rubber strap option? Anyone? I am assuming buying an OEM Rolex Oyster Flex strap is just not feasible.

Strapsco makes a straight end OF knockoff with straight ends and you can use their generic clasp or your OEM one. I managed to source some OEM Oysterflex halves for my 116500 back in ‘19, they come up for sale occasionally and are pricy.

Beautiful. White dial doesn’t look as good in rubber to me.
