My favorite feature on the older dials are the electric blue-turquoise highlights in the minute track that don't exist on the newer dials. The newer dials have much darker sunburst highlights, that look black in certain light, as seen in the first photo below. Compare to the other photo and the differences are obvious. |

4600v 34.5 steel blue on a 15cm wrist. I like it - It's a keeper.
I am migrating from a 116000 3-6-9 blue. Happy to answer questions for those on the fence. |

A couple more for wider wrist view + a shot comparing fit to 116000
A couple of points though ... 1. I have a half link for the 116000 for winter which I had just swapped out for a full link for summer as it gets too tight at times when hot/humid with 1/2 a link less. However, the wrist was small here exaggerating the big fit look. 2. I have since removed a half link on the 4600v since taking all these pictures so the fit is more snug. The 4600v internal link distance is about 5mm vs 11600 internal link distance of about 8mm. The 4600v butterfly clasp is smaller and confirms to the wrist much better vs the 11600 folding clasp. All in, the 4600v is leaner, confirms to the wrist better and is more comfortable vs a 36mm/34mm Rolex for those with small wrists. |

You can‘t. I tried buying a strap for my 7920 and any older straps wont work with the new watch and vice versa from what I was told.

All straps - old and new - will attach to the case without issue. The challenge is the attachment at the deployant - which is entirely different on the xx20/4000v. So you could use the old deployant on old straps on your 7920v without issue. Or you could buy a tang/buckle from VC and use without the deployant all together. |

I was asked in a Private message if the 4600v wears like a 36mm Explorer. Copying my answer here for others ...
Hey - so I have a 116000 which is a 36mm 'maxi' OP (37mm measured 10-4, thicker lugs/bracelet). I have not held a newer 36mm OP or Explorer without the maxi style and 1mm thinner bracelet + extra bracelet taper. Regardless this VC will wear smaller than both. It is actually 34.5mm 10-4, it is 2.2mm thinner than 36 Exp, has an 18mm wide bracelet vs 20mm on the 116000 and 19mm on the newer OP/Exp, it has no lugs framing the bracelet which add width/presence, and then you have the visual impact on perception of the bigger bezel/smaller dial style of the VC. I think an OP 34mm would be a better comparison if it is easier to try on Rolex watches near you. I would aim to try on an old 'maxi' OP 34mm 114200 and have a think if a much thinner version of that could work for you (this OP is thicker than new Exp 36mm). The 114200 bracelet starts at 18mm which is the same as the VC 4600v I suggest the old OP 34mm, as the newer OP 34mm is actually smaller so may not be the best comparison: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=816677 An extra note: if you are used to a 36mm Rolex, if you do try on this VC it will be apparent its smaller and first response may be to not like that. I was also unsure at first - but after a few weeks on the wrist when I go back to the OP it seems bulbous & uncouth in comparison. I do have a < 6" wrist though. |

Wanted to circle back. I've been on the list for a steel Overseas since November of last year. Was offered the full gold version and initially accepted it, but I ended up deciding I'd rather have the steel (and save the money too).
I've been working with the NYC boutique, and about 2 months ago, I was told they only had 3 actual deposits on the 4520 blue face (including me). I've heard they've only been getting in 1 of those models a month, which I find mind-boggling given it's supposedly a flagship boutique. My birthday is in a couple weeks, and my SA reached out yesterday just to chat via text and asked again to confirm when my b-day is. No other indication but feels like they are prepping officially offer it to me. Anyone picked up a 4520 recently or could chime in on waits currently. I enjoy my relationship with the brand and boutique, but these models are almost at retail on the secondary market so it's very annoying to wait. |
