I didn’t do this but I’m curious now…can you damage anything by turning the crown in the opposite direction of winding?

I'll chime in here. I just had a Pelagos serviced at Dallas RSC - shipped from my local dealer on May 19.

They quoted eight weeks, but they called after about four weeks and said it's gonna be another 4-8 weeks - waiting for parts from Tudor. It was ready about two weeks ago - so that's 15 weeks.

All good. It cost $325 for the service and $82 for the crown and gasket.

I sent it in because it did not self-wind anymore. I suspect the rotor came loose, and was dragging, thus not winding with normal wrist movement. You could hear it clanking around in there. It would run 70 hours after a full wind, but then die about a day after that, while wearing it.

Fine experience, and I got a cool black and red service pouch.

The service was a movement overhaul (hot swap most likely) and new crown and gasket.

Get my watch back tomorrow! Pretty quick in my opinion. Watch broke on August 23rd. Exactly 1 month turn around time.

it should be fast Rolex just takes the old movement out and puts in another movement in that has been serviced in

To all who will be sending watch to the service: take photos from all sides and insist that SA will put in the papers "no scratches", or which ones are present exactly when watch is handed over. Unfortunately, I learned it in a very unpleasant way: I received my watch back with so badly scratched caseback that I couldn't imagine how it can be done. Do you think that there was an apology from AD? No, over the phone store manager was trying to convince that I did it myself, and I had to be very assertive to give the watch back for removing the scratches.

That is frustrating. I was concerned that I would receive my watch back with some sort of scratch somewhere and am happy to report it returned just as I sent it in. Well minus the movement not running hah.

Earlier this year, my BB Chrono stopping manually winding (seemed to wind automatically) so I had it serviced. I believe the RSC simply replaced the movement. I think it took 4-5 weeks. Watch is working great and it came back in a little Tudor service pouch, which was nice.

I just dropped off my Ranger for some warranty work, as the watch was randomly stopping even after a full wind. I was informed that it would take about four or five weeks. They said they send their Tudors to Long Island, New York for service and repairs. And fyi, I'm in the United States but about as far from New York as you can get.

Different situation. My AD sent mine back to Switzerland. I was told between 5-8 weeks.

Just received my BB58 Blue from service ( randomly stopping, slowed a bit, and low power reserve after almost 3 years of ownership). LESS than 3 weeks for it to come back. Told it was sent to Tudor USA.

As mentioned in the thread/ forum before…it seems ( given the very quick turnaround) the process is they simply replace the movement in my watch with another refurbished movement.

My 1.5 year old BB Chronograph started to have an unusual (skipping?) feel when manually winding. AD sent watch back to Tudor/Rolex Dallas service center Feb 1. Watch was returned in just over 3 weeks in a nice Tudor service pouch. Watch has worked great since. Very good service in my opinion.
