Incoming… got the call. Daytona 126518LN “pikachu”

Adding a third Daytona to the stable, ecstatic to have got the call on a yellow gold Daytona on OF, it’s the champagne dial with black subdials that goes by pikachu.

The wife is supportive and got the green light so will pick it up as soon as I can. Was planning on traveling this weekend, so will need to work around that!

My other two Daytona watches are the TT black dial, no diamands that I got a couple of years ago, and a 12 reference panda I’ve had a couple of months.

Pics to follow of my Daytona line-up.
Thoughts on what should follow in the Daytona configuration?
I feel like that’s a really nice selection: dressy, understated and sporty.
So perhaps I’ll pause here for a while as funds aren’t unlimited… but it’s sure fun!

Congrats, great selection! I'm hoping to be the proud owner of a 126515LN Sundust dial/black subdial on Oysterflex before the end of Summer, myself.

I have the 116518ref and it’s my favourite watch - I prefer it to the 116500 feels more substantial on the wrist is the only way to describe it

Great watch enjoy!

Iv had mine around 8 months and still loving it!

I had a chance at the new black steel but chose this over it and don’t regret it. I’ll hopefully get the call for the steel later on.

not too bad at all! I just made my official request with my AD two weeks ago, so *fingers crossed* I'll have mine soon enough . . .I told them that if it doesn't show up by year's end, then I'm just going to go gray, I'm not gonna wait forever for it.

To cut a long story short, I’m sorry to say there was a mixup. They had for me the inverse the black with the champagne sub-dials. Obviously, my A.D. was apologetic and offered me this watch, However, I politely declined and thanked her. I said I was in no rush so I’m certain I have some goodwill and I look forward to those pictures when I actually get it. I’m sorry for the alarm, but it is what it is. I’m sure these things happen from time to time. And the world has bigger problems, so I’m thankful for what I have.

They offered you the Paul Newman? I would have taken it but hope you get the piece you're looking for

Correct, however I already have a gold-ish black dial Daytona in the two tone, but i also know you cant really compare. Given that TT was my first Rolex, I want to keep it and I like the idea of having something different.
