Wear it well, OP.

I wouldn't consider such a thing to be "controversial".

"Controversial" in my eyes is when people start putting A/M diamond bezels/dials etc. on their watches... *cringe*

Nice Starbucks :D

Same for the new mini glidelock. The one on Subs is too big for most models but the mini would be great on everything from GMTs to Datejusts.
OP, I think your watch looks great.

Agreed and the fluids lock clasp too.

To the OP

The watch looks great, enjoy.

So I sourced a genuine Oysterflex for a 42mm Yachtmaster and some aftermarket end links and this is the result.

The Yachtmaster has a divot in the case and the lugs are drilled closer to the case so the strap sits flush and can still rotate. With the sub, the lugs are drilled further away of course allowing for the end links on the bracelet. This means that if you don’t have the end links it looks a bit odd which is why I chose to add them, they’re 904L steel and brushed so I feel like they work well.

So comfortable, great alternative, of course I still love the watch “as it should be” on the remarkable oyster bracelet, but I like to have the option, means I wear the watch more across the collection.

Keen to hear what people think!

Very nice. I was thinking of doing something similar with my Submariner. However, it’s such a pain to find the OF. I went with RubberB instead.

I think all Subs should come with an OF accessory. To me, that is far more fitting than an OF on a PM Daytona, or (even worse) a PM SkyD.

They come with tiny double sided tape patches, but I didn’t use them, the bracelet holds them in place with the spring bars VERY flush and solid.

Not for me. Rolex makes such an amazing oyster bracelet. Why would you do that?

Because rubber straps are way more comfortable for daily wear than bracelets, especially in summer

Really? I think bracelets are best in the summer. They breathe better. I don’t like rubber straps in the summer at all.

That’s why I’ve got an actual oyster flex, deliberately designed to allow skin to breathe and air to flow under the strap.

Typical outstanding engineering from Rolex before they decided to release anything on the rubber strap they fixed that problem.

Of course all personal preference

I think it looks great. Now you have options, can always switch them out.
Wonder what the reaction would be if Rolex themselves offered this, I'm sure it would be the best thing ever.

Looks good but I prefer the Rubber B approach with Subs and it's a heck of a lot cheaper too.
