Thanks all! First day wearing it today and have to say I love it. It'll definitely take place for the daily over the GMT for the next few weeks I'm sure!

Yea, I've heard of some as well. There was always 3 AD's in Calgary, two owned by Birks, one by another company. One shut down, and that's when Birks at one of the local malls opened a new boutique after they renovated. It was kind of a blessing in disguise since they started fresh. They'd say no spend was taken into account on how they allocate, and the more that I talked to them the more they let on to how they were operating etc. The other lone AD downtown YYC I've heard horror stories about. If you was a sport model, you better be ready to spend a ton on other jewelry or work your way up. Or they'll welcome you in with open arms if you're buying a PM piece.

Long story short, it paid off with the new AD and some patience and checking in, being able to build that relationship from scratch and on the same playing field. On to the next one!
