June 1st Price Increases

Confirmed by my AD - this is in the UK so please note may not be worldwide.

It is an interesting move from Rolex to increase prices on the most pieces they are likely selling the least of right now.

EDIT: - Sorry for the humungous screenshot lol

Had you inquired about a yellow gold watch by any chance? Or been offered one and considering your decision?

I have no reason to doubt what you’re sharing but I’m always sceptical of AD motives with stuff like this.

No, my AD just keeps me up to date on recent or upcoming events (where he can!)

But no one is paying full retail for gold pieces at the AD even today. Right?

Perhaps this is why

If those who are buying are getting a % discount, makes sense for Rolex to up the RRP I suppose.

But even then, does it make full gold pieces even less attractive to buy?

Got told similar at an AD, yesterday..... that's going to put more pressure on them, surely? anyone else feel the price increases are perpetuating the downturn? My AD had loads of two tone and solid gold in stock.

It's likely going to perpetuate the need to give discounts on gold watches, although I'd be asking for one anyway and expecting to get a decent slice off a PM watch.

Says price increase on gold. Then quotes for all metals.
So a Sub LV is going to hit me an extra 1% ?

I think it’s 1% for steel datejusts. For the Sub, I believe the message said 3%. If I had to guess, the MSRP of the Sub LV will go from $10800 to somewhere around $11200 so about a 3-4% increase starting June.

The Swiss Franc (and gold) is doing nicely, sorry to hear your country's downward trend is getting worse faster.

That’s the usual story but the pound is the strongest it’s been for a couple of years against the Swiss franc just now.

For once it’s not our pounds now being worth pennies. More likely the price of gold.
