New member in trouble
Hi to all. I was so happy to find this forum. The 1st thing I did was order a Bergeon 6111 from Otto Frei in order to remove/replace/clean the Jubilee bracelet on my 12 year old 16234. I wanted to thoroughly clean it so as to minimize future wear. Too bad, that in removing it, I broke the springbars and now have to wear an old battery powered Timex until I can find suitable replacements. Please help me find original Rolex springbars for this watch. I have heard repeatedly that a RSC will not touch a Rolex with aftermarket parts and want to avoid that scenario. How can I get my Rolex back into use and maintain it's originality for acceptance by a Rolex Service Center? Thanks in advance for your suggestions

I would contact trf member Stevemulholland3. He is great with parts, and is professional. Send him a email.

If you're doing this just to send it to RSC then by all means send it in without the springbars.
They will accept it. |

If you got the springbar tool from Otto Frei, check out their parts..
They have spring bars for your Rolex... ........ Rolex will take your watch in with aftermarket spring-bars too...... they are considered expendible and are tossed during a service......

Call your local AD, mine has given me replacement springbars when I needed a pair.
If your local AD has a Rolex certified watchmaker, you have no worries, maybe they will charge you but it is next to nothing. On another note, it's not like they are engraved with Rolex all over them, a RSC probably won't even notice if you had aftermarket spring bars as long as they are the same size.

Check with a local independent watchmaker, they may have them in stock!

Thanks Sooo Much!
This is a great forum! I want to thank everyone who chimed in to help me. I tried to determine which springbars I needed, but it was inconclusive. I went to Otto Frei and eBay, but the descriptive criteria failed to describe (accurately) my watch! I have no idea which springbar is called for on mine. Rather than throw good money after bad, I will take the advice of two posters and bring it to an AD and hope for the best. I am in way over my head and would be happy just to be able to wear my 16234 once again! Again, thanks to all who tried to help this old man

You're welcome, lets see how it looks when you get it fixed on your wrist
