Rolex Newbie with newb questions

Sorry in advance if it'e been asked before...
My wife bought me a new Rolex Air King (blue dial & orange numerals)on our honeymoon. Does anyone know how long the power reserve is? How often do I need to wind it to prevent it from slowing or stopping? It keeps stopping or slowing- I have only worn it 3-4 times. Cheers.

The power reserve should be around 40 hours or so. And 40-50 winds keeps the watch running for me. Welcome to TRF!

Before your first time you wear the watch, wind it. After this the self winding mechanism will keep it going for a loooooooong time provided you wear it every day.

In other words, go wind it!

If you work for the government you have to wind it every day. Are you self detract owner, you do it once when you buy the watch.

Isn't there something in the new health care bill in the US about watch winding?

Which queue were you standing in, Charlie, when the good Lord was dishing out the sense-of-humour grey cells?

By the way that AK with the blue concentric dial and orange Arabic numbers is a nice looking watch.
