that is a picture of me, but not on my ducati... it is from a race that i took place in last august, and the bike was a loaner 749S racebike that i was given by a sponsor

i own a 900 SS SP (1995) and this week i bought a vespa lx 150

i haven't seen the 1098 in person yet, though from what i've seen on the web it looks very nice. the price tag is pretty high though i can't wait to ride it on the track and see how it feels

wait a minute, you want a girl sized watch but you ride a boy sized bike?

haha

for the record, I've seen more and more girls sporting full sized watches of late and it's definitely a fashion trend (this big watch look). at no time did i think , "oh, nice watch your b/f is letting you wear."

now alot of these girls are involved in activities where the large scuba style watch is pretty at home (ie surfing / rock climbing /scuba diving). but they seem to really like the bigger watches and are wearing them out on the town as well.

First off congrats on the watch. Enjoy it in good health

I haven't seen the 1098 in person yet either but it's the cover story in the Jan 2007 issue of Cycle World. It's a good story and a mouth watering motorcycle

Maybe DG can consider the small one (if it exists)?
There are 3 sizes of YMs. 29mm 35mm 40mm. The 29mm is too small IMHO for a woman so I am looking at the 35mm.

You're welcome, DD. That's my wife's wrist and watch. Zemina is a very small built lady, so on her even that 29 mm is a wee bit big. I prefer the 26 mm DJ on her wrist....but she's very happy with this YM.

Congrats, the watch suits you beautifully!

If you are still wanting a 31/32mm Sports style watch in the spirit of a Rolex Sub.. you cant beat the Tudor Mini-Sub.. they are 32mm, have an auto movement, come in blue and black (some white models too in later editions) have jubilee or an oyster bracelet... all for around $700-1000US depending on condition etc. I'd highly recommend one if you are still in the market.

Here's some photos, now these are not my photos.. just photos I found around the traps.

Firstly, this is Launch Mini's Blue Mini-Sub with Jubilee

Secondly a black MS on Oyster - I owned this exact watch, but not my photo

Black on Jubilee

This last white dialed one is one of the newer models and more expensive than the ones above, it has WG surrounds and the bracelet is quite a looker

I love Mini-Subs can you tell??

Can the crowns on the old datejusts (or was it a day-date) come off? I don't know if it's a fake or not, because my mom has an old rolex day-date i think it is, probably from the 90s, and the crown came out, and it looks pretty ugly the inside in the dial, I think rust marks or something, not too sure.
