1675 in 1959??

I see a few things wrong with this:
the marking at 6 o clock is Swiss T <25.
Serial number reflects a watch from the 50's
Band is not correct.
Let me know if I am way off or if this one is a frankenwatch

A 500k serial would make it circa 1959/60. IMO it should then have a gilt dial, chapter ring and "Swiss" at 6 oclock.

The band would have been a riveted band. The calibre should be 1565 NOT 1560 as seller is claiming.

This may be a correct dial for a 1.5M serial ie a no "Date" dial. As there is some wear on the case, maybe the "1" has gone missing or rubbed out.....

I don't know - after blowing up the photo of the serial number, it looks like there is a "1" there in front of the 504999 - am i seeing things? I'm not sure about the font or the type style or any of the rest, but i would say it is a 1.5 mil....

Ed, you may be right. Would the movement pictured match the case then?

No, it would not, the correct movement for a GMT then would have been 1565/75. The movement in the photo is a 1560 so something wrong here.

Great attention to detail. The movement could have been changed somewhere along its life, like from an Explorer.

You are correct Michael 1560 is not for a GMT 1675, only 1565/75 .... http://www.bernardwatch.com/Rolex-Mo...s-and-Calibers
